I wish to greet the BICOL CREDIT UNION LEAGUE. As a fellow cooperator, I also would like to invite all stakeholders in the cooperative movement to keep ourselves abreast with the implementation of the Philippine Cooperative Code of 2008. There appears to be a move to resurrect the unlamented “Manual of Rules and Regulations”, which they tried to impose on cooperatives, before the enactment of R.A. 9520. Let’s all be vigilant, for the sake of our cooperative members. Thank you!

Pursuant to principle of Cooperation among Cooperatives, I believe that we should take up the cause and help those cooperatives that were not able to re-register under R.A. 9520.

CDA reportedly, has extended the registration deadline for cooperatives under R.A. 9520 for 3 months, covering July 1, 2010 up to Sept. 30, 2010.
Check this out with your CDA office and relay to your members who have not yet registered.
